From small water colour to a bouquet on a large canvas they make really unusual and thoughtful gifts, particularly for the first anniversary - 'Paper'. Subtly dedicated in pencil with the date of meeting or marriage, a simple word, or names, it's a unique way of celebrating your friends' love, or declaring your own. (And frankly, it also serves as a very useful reminder of the anniversary date in years to come!)

When moving to a new home, a painting that perfectly suits the house, dedicated with the date/names of the owners is a fun gift either for each other, or from family and friends.Alternatively, if you have a photo of where you met, married or honeymooned, you might like an impression of the scene for you in either soft watercolour, or watercolour and ink (dedicated and dated)

Christening and birthday gifts... proving very popular, an illustrated initial with the full name of the child spelt out by the bricks at the bottom... To make it more personal, items can be added that the child will hopefully enjoy (parent's hobbies!) In the two following boy/girl examples, a cricket bat and ball for the boy, ballet shoes for the girl.
This fourth example below, is for a Scottish baby - the tartan of his clan is gently reproduced on the letter, golf clubs (father's hobby), tennis racket (mother's hobby), a Scottish Thistle and Red rose (wedding flowers) all make it a very unusual and highly personal gift.
Next, are two examples of a Confirmation present, personalized with the name and date of child.
To accompany the gift, a signed copy of Lyndsay's illustrated children's book The Rainbow Weaver has proved a very popular addition - giving the painting an extra provenance.
