Russell has been invited by the curator to submit four works for two ships with the theme of 'Couples'.

As part of a Cultural Exchange, Russell will be representing 10 artists from Kaos, Kingston in its twin town of Oldenbburg, Germany. Her works will be displayed in the stunning BBK Gallery and STAUBLAU Gallery in this beautiful city as part of a joint exhibition between countries.
The artist has been invited to exhibit in Creative Flow -- a six month show at Kingston Museum. Chosen as their lead contemporary artist, Russell's installation Aqua Nebula, video film Aqua Nebulae and three sculptures will be presented alongside Millais' Ophelia and Turner's earlier work. She also provides an immersive soundtrack to accompany the show.

Newsquest; 'Kingston artist Lyndsay Russell, making a stir for creating her artwork from muddy Thames river water, has been invited by The Government of The People’s Republic of China to exhibit her large, wind animated silk artwork Aqua Nebula in the renowned West Bund Art Centre as part of Shanghai’s first Environmental Art Show.
Says Russell, “I am so incredibly excited by the invitation and the opportunity to visit China. It’s thrilling to be asked to take part as the only Westerner, and especially in this prestigious venue."
A unique, immersive journey through fire, earth air and water.
Mixing sculpture, flowing silks and wall art, Russell’s ambitious exhibition is divided into four overlapping sections of her work - Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Offering a totally unique experience, a secret soundtrack of music, voice and singing on visitors mobile phones will accompany them on their circular journey round the gallery.
